IQRA’ ACADEMY receives candidacy for accreditation from Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools

Iqra’ Academy received a letter dated April 26, 2007, officially informing the school of its acceptance as a candidate for accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools. Dr. F. Laird Evans wrote, “Please accept our congratulations for meeting the standards set by the commission and confirmed during the visit of Mary Ann Keeley to the school.” The school will now enter into the self study phase of the process. Dr. Keeley will serve as Agent of Responsibility and will guide the school through the accreditation process.

Dr. Jalal Hamedi was recently appointed by the board of trustees as the new headmaster. He will lead the school along with a team of qualified and dedicated staff. The school hopes to announce its lineup of new teachers in the coming weeks.
